Parking here can be a nightmare and it's consistently busy (even at 10am on a Thursday it seems) but the baristas and cashiers are really pleasant and I've never had a bum order/drink. I also like its proximity to the nail place (beverage before pampering? Ok, thanks!) and all the outdoor seating (even if the view is busy Washtenaw Ave). Open 24 hours which is great if you're like me and often jonesing for a late night hot cocoa or a student needing a place to study/camp out for an all nighter.

No good customer service.... The people working do not smile, not friendly, I think they are rude! They do not showcase the typical culture of Starbucks that I have seen in big cities!!

Newly renovated! Looks like they have a clover machine here which is legit. It's a special brewing machine not available in most Starbucks locations. August 5th is the La Boulange launch! Excited as I used to live in SF. This means more pastry options. Hopefully they'll have the margarita and ham/cheese croissants. Party.

I love Starbucks. It's my favorite "chain" coffee shop. Even if you don't like coffee, they have a lot of great alternatives (tea, hot chocolate, iced drinks, lemonade, etc). Their baked goods are also good! This Starbucks was recently remodeled and has a more "upscale" feel to it. They also appear to have unique coffee separate from their normal offerings. I believe they are open 24 hours and while parking can be a real pain, it's close to a lot of restaurants, the highway and other shopping along Washtenaw.

It's been remodeled... they put more seats in their, but now it looks more crowded, less space.... parking still sucks though :) One good thing about this place: 24x7 :)

This is my usual spot for pre-work caffeine since Starbucks are hard to find and access on the south side of Ann Arbor. The staff and baristas are cheerful, the line is usually pretty short, the store is clean, there is plenty of seating, and they spell my name right ... you'd be surprised at what I've found on my Starbucks cups! I'm a sucker for the caramel macchiatos as well as the green tea latte which apparently can be served cold. It's a great spot to stop at in the morning and parking is easy to find. What made my experience even better today was the sample of chocolate croissant that I got to nibble on while waiting for my drink.

There really are 2 reviews to be written, one for late hours and one for busy hours, which is most of the day after ~ 9 AM. I happen to love the very late hours (1-6 AM). That's because I like to have coffee (a few lattes) and bagels while studying during the night. The staff are great. The Google powered internet solves an old problem with Starbucks--slow WiFi, and is nearly UofM grade. Others (like many of my friends) love the place during the day *because* there is so much bustle and noise. If you like a busy coffee-house scene, it's great for that during the day.

Not a bad place to go. I like it more than the usual Starbucks, as it's not crammed in a dense urban area. It is in a shopping center, but there's plenty of room outside in the front. It's set far enough back from traffic to allow some nice coffee drinking. There was a line, but it moved quickly. There were just two barristas, but they were well trained. Prices were standard and nice for just some unfancy coffee. The place was clean and well appointed.

Great atore , great staff. I'm here at least 4 days a week. My drink is always right! Some days are busier than other but everyone is friendly. Great for studio lots of plugs.

Three strikes and you're out. They used to be very nice/friendly here, now I just wonder where common courtesy went. I've visited three times in the past month and each time the people behind the counter have successfully not greeted or smiled. The last time I went there they continued their gossip session while each of three eyeballed me as I approach the cashier. I smiled and said hello to each of them, with absolutely no response. Once someone decided to reluctantly take my order order, but it was like I was at Mel's diner and the waitperson said, "What do you want?" and a cold, "Here (is your drink)." All the while that person finished a story about someone resigning. Sorry to inconvenience all of you... Won't make that mistake, again! Luckily, there are plenty of other Starbucks locations that I can frequent.

Ordered a chai latte with a shot and asked for it extra hot since it was 20 degrees outside. It turned out to be lukewarm and watery... Could barely taste the spices or anything at all. How can you go wrong on a chai latte?? Nice interior though.

Coffee and baristas are good. Location is horrible enough though to make me not want to go in. There's hardly any parking available, it's at the end of an isolated strip and there's no easy way out of the mall. Quick trip in can take 10-15 minutes.

This is a very busy Starbucks! Located in Arborland Mall, it gets lots of traffic. It's located in a little cul-de-sac where parking can be a B! Maneuvering in and out of this parking lot will definitely make your coffee leak- get one of those green coffee top things. Service is good, fast, and consistent. There is a fireplace, comfy chairs, small round tables as well as long rectangular tables ideal for group studying. Open 24 hours, it's perfect if you're a student looking to escape downtown coffee shops for a little peace and quiet in the middle of the night.

Open 24 hrs! Usually busy since they're the only Starbucks open so late and hard to find a seat. Small parking lot, so you'll have trouble finding a spot when it's busy. If you manage to stake out a spot, you're golden for that all-nighter you're pulling for your exam/assignment.

The ONLY reason I go here is because they have late hours and during the school year they are open 24 hours. That is IT. The staff here is incredibly unfriendly. The place was recently remodeled and looks good. They have a fireplace inside and outside. The parking is always really congested and good luck getting a table between 5pm and 9pm. If I'm in the mood for a quick coffee I drive a mile up the road to the other starbucks with a drive thru where the staff is actually quite nice.

I am not much a coffee drinker or a huge Starbucks fan in general. I went here on a rainy day after being in a bad mood and I got incredibly fast and friendly service. By the time I was done talking with a the barista my drink was ready. What more could I want from a chain coffee store?

Clean and remodeled. Service was quick and polite. The guys working there were kind and courteous. Will go back for sure!

I love coffee and Starbucks is my favorite. The employees here always get my order right and even get my mom's crazy half-calf, extra pump, three shot monstrosity correct each and every time. In regards to parking, there's an entire lot that is even easier to get in and out of just across the drive. Park over there and walk over, because it'll take way less time to do that than it will to wait for a spot closet to Starbucks. Walking is a good thing, and I do it because I'm about to devour a delicious latte and want to walk off some of the calories. I also love that this place is open 24-7. It makes me early, early morning meetings more bearable if I have caffeine in my system.

I'm a very frequent customer. Sarah and her crew do a great job of making the customers feel welcome. Sometimes I don't know how they handle the HUGE rush of people who often come here, especially on game days. I would love to give 5 stars, but as the school year starts, some of the customers need to be a bit more civil. My son loves this place, but was getting fussy as the line was long, and I suggested he sit at a table. A young woman with UM clothing and a German textbook came in from the parking lot and grabbed the seat as we we getting ready to sit there. I asked if my son could at least sit down for a minute (he was getting tired and fussy) and her response was.."that seat is for my boyfriend, we have a LOT of work to do". Please keep in mind that moms with kids also have work to do (for example, I have paper grading I was hoping to do for my job as a professor), and it is not a good example for him to see adults behaving this way. My son is disappointed but I'm afraid that with all of the students we will have to look elsewhere to hang out on Saturdays.

A one-line review: The parking at this Starbucks is a pain in the ass, the drinks take a long time to make and it's always really crowded, but it's 24 hrs and back when I lived in Ann Arbor I gained 10 pounds happily munching on scones and coffee cake after dinner almost every night.

I haven't been to this starbucks in years, and I was going to spend the day in Ypsi with a friend of mine, and we always meet up at Arborland mall. I remember when this starbucks went in, many many years ago! I went into this Starbucks because I needed coffee, there's plenty of seating, and its a common place to meet. The staff here was friendly and awesome! I went with a cafe mocha, and a chocolate chip coffee cake thing. Drink was hot, food was tasty, and its always a pleasure to stop into a familiar place every now and then. The downside to this starbucks is that its kind of in a clustered tight area. Parking is tight just about every minute of the day. Its much easier to park in the bigger lot, cross the little drive way, and walk all the way down instead of trying to park out in front of the shop. Also, the place was jam packed when I was there, and since it was downpouring, no one could sit outside. Despite the ample seating inside, during the winter months and rainy days, your limited to indoor seating. Anyways, aside from tight parking, place is awesome. Great staff here!

The staff at this Starbucks is beyond friendly. They always make your drinks with correctly and delicious. Depending on the time of day you go, parking can be a little dicey.

I don't like Starbucks, but I keep coming back to this place because it has some sort of magic studying power. Open 24 hours with unusually friendly, nice staff, I usually spend at least 5 hours camped out at a table doing reading here on weekends. The fireplace is cozy, but the nicest part is the availability of outlets to compliment the free wireless. The best Starbucks in the area, though I'm not sure that says very much.

This place needs more seating. Layout could be improved to fir more seating. It's open 24-hours so it attracts all the night owls.

I really enjoy this Starbucks. Maybe it's because I spend many nights here doing homework and I really appreciate that this location is 24 hours. Maybe it's because the staff are always friendly. Maybe it's the outdoor seating. Maybe it's the fireplace. Either way, 5 stars to this Starbucks!

The parking isn't the best but I can usually find a spot, I don't go during the rush period from what i hear it is insane and I'd rather have my cup of joe be relaxing. I will say the baristas here have been skilled every time, which to me is the most important thing. Ultimately you are paying for a consumable and my drinks have always been made well here (consistency is hard to find in coffee shops). Maybe my rating will go down overtime if the parking becomes more annoying, but it hasn't been too bad so far.

I unabashedly like Starbucks as a concept and as a cafe. Their drinks are good. Maybe I've never had "real" coffee, or whatever, but I don't care. I even like THIS Starbucks! The staff is friendly and I don't even mind the parking situation. However, I always feel like it's packed with UM students between like 8 and 4am. It puzzles me. Don't they have their own 24-hour haunts to haunt?

This is Starbucks with Starbucks Coffee and Starbucks prices, so I'm not going to spend time dissing Starbucks as a concept, as in other reviews. It is a very busy Starbucks. The line is frequently deep. Why to come here? 24 hours! Convenient to freeway! Fireplace!! Fireplace also faces and warms the patio outside!! (Too bad the patio faces a major divided road, which is not a charming and quiet patio-like location. But you can have your little zone of civility out there, if the traffic and the weather are right.) Why not to come here? If you are thinking this is your workspace away from home and that you will find a nice seat with an outlet at any particular time of the day to occupy in solitude for hours, bathed in the blue light of your glowing screen. You have about a 20% chance of getting a spot in the off-peak hours, and about a 5% chance of getting one in the peak 'study hall' hours. If you need to park within 100 feet of the door, parking is impossible here. If you are willing to walk 500 feet for your Starbucks there is ample parking in the adjacent mall parking lot. Suggestion: if you need to crash, cash, dash and drink (and not even begin to consider the inconvenience of parking 500 feet away) then go to the Starbucks on Carpenter Road. Drive thru Starbucks! How cool is that! The Bux24 people have always been super-friendly to me :)

Visited this Starbucks for the first time today. Walked in around 10pm, got some coffee, and sat down to work on my computer. Wasn't very busy, which is suprising because of what everyone else has said in their reviews. Mabey it was due to the stinky homeless man sitting in the corner that you could smell no matter where you were. Or mabey because of the man sleeping on the couch for hours. Both are still here at 3:45am. I would have left, but I needed to get a lot done. Unfortunatley this is the only 24 hour coffee shop open for miles. On a better note, the service was good and the barrista seemed to know what he was talking about.

Everytime I visit this Starbucks, the staff are always very friendly and the food and drinks are great. I love the cake pops and other assorted treats, and I also love that they have hard to find music available for purchase as well.

You know the drill from the other reviews: bad parking, always busy. This stuff I don't mind, because it's been here for a long time and there's not a whole lot they can do about either problem. The staff is also pretty nice but I seem to always have something go wrong when I go here. Today's experience inspired a Yelp it was so disappointing. In what should have been a five minute visit, my wife and I had to remind the staff of what she ordered mere moments after it was ordered, we had a breakfast sandwich delivered to us that was ice cold in the middle, and then they told us we could have a new free sandwich that was also chilly in the middle. We ended up there for over 20 minutes through all of this, and to top it off the main reason we went was to buy a new coffee grinder, which their store did not sell. I don't take issue with the usual Starbucks complaints (corporate coffee, yadda yadda yadda) but bad food and clumsy service on a day when they were absolutely dead is very frustrating. I'm not planning a return visit.

I don't generally mind Starbucks, but this particular Starbucks makes my blood boil. It taunts you with its perpetual 24-7 hours, but is so unbelievably crowded if you arrive anytime between 8AM and 4AM, you're not likely to find a seat. If you happen to get lucky, the flocks of people coming and going and hovering if you look like you might be getting up will make concentration quite difficult. I'm not claustrophobic, but this place helps me get what that feels like- the narrow space is not designed for heavy traffic. Nearby superior alternatives include Barnes & Noble, Borders, and the 24-hour Denny's.

This place is like a sick rat experiment. They have a Starbucks placed in the worse possible parking situation imaginable.. Do I want a coffee - Do I want to suffer parking and getting in and out? The staff is pretty friendly here despite being very high volume. They never complain when I clog up the line ordering 1/2lb of beans or they are happy to take a phone in order for coffee in a box to help speed my pick up. Located next door is also a delicious Cold Stone Creamery which goes great with a hot coffee. Also because of the high volume your coffee is always very fresh.

don't ever go here. went there to grab a quick latte jolt. stood in front of the cash register for a good minute (no line) while the barista talked about hair products with another customer. this dick saw me standing there, didn't acknowledge me, continued chatting with the other person, while wiping the steamer wand. what terrible service.

Just a pain to get to, to buy overpriced drinks of inconsistent quality.

I'm eternally puzzled at the success of Starbucks. The coffee (in this as in all the others I've been to) is ordinary -- you can usually find better for your habitual cup, if you check around. The atmosphere is blah. And the claim that they invented the cafe -- give me a break!
